Hari Om Namo Narayana!
I have just written a detailed answer about the ‘Rahu’ Moon conjunction and you are encouraged to check that out to understand the energies of this conjunction with more depth.https://qr.ae/pvK9Pj
Now, this is a more solution oriented answer so I’m going to talk more about the mental health aspect of this conjunction.
- See, one of the biggest things a ‘Rahu’ moon conjunction does is that it makes you very emotional.
- Now, Moon in Scorpio people are also very emotional and so are people with Moon in the 12th house.
- What is so different about ‘Rahu’ Moon conjunction?
- Well, we don’t quite often understand that ‘emotional’ is a very broad word.
- Sometimes what we are referring to is ‘withdrawn’, sometimes what we are referring to is ‘hypersensitive’ and sometimes we are referring actually to the feeling of ‘defensiveness’. This can have a variety of different results in the person’s life.
- In the case of ‘Rahu’ Moon people however, the term ‘emotional’ applies literally to someone who tends to get carried away by their emotions no matter what they are.
- They do learn mastery of their emotions and how to channel them in the right direction but that comes with time in the second half of life.
- It becomes very difficult for them to ‘break out’ of that chain of thought or mood.
- If they are angry, they can remain angry for quite a bit until some event or person causes them to snap out of it.
- If they are sad, they can continue to be sad.
- If they are depressed, they can very quickly spiral downwards.
- Also, if they are feeling lustful or aroused, they can get carried away and end up crossing a line.
- Quite often ‘Rahu’ Moon people tend to indulge in addictions as a means to ‘escape’ their mind.
- Now, these coping mechanisms can range from alcohol abuse, gaming addiction, drug abuse to gambling and even infidelity.
- As soon as they hit a point where ‘Rahu’ has reached a wall, leading the mind on a roller coaster journey, they experience a rapid ‘fall’ in their emotional ‘high’ and disinterest.
- To someone with a ‘Rahu’ Moon conjunction, most of the ideas that we suggest can appear to ‘not work’. Most often the reason for this is that they encountered difficulty in gelling with the solution on the first go and the entire point of the solution was to help them feel ‘lighter’ in the mind not heavier.
- As a result of this, quite often they will enroll in ‘yoga’ classes then drop out after a class or two. They might also enroll in painting and music lessons and then lose interest and drop out. This can happen for a lot of different things they try to feel better.
1. Therapy.
One thing that works very well for this conjunction is Therapy.
- Yes, it works like magic for people with this conjunction.
- Now the thing is, quite often, they will not seek it out themselves as they have tried a lot of things and things ‘haven’t worked’. If someone else books a therapy session for them they might just go through with it.
- I’ll come to other solutions too but let’s discuss this.
Why does therapy work?
- Because 90% of the agony that ‘Rahu’ Moon people feel is in the mind. It’s something that they can’t talk about, can’t express, can’t get people to understand.
- If you observe ‘Rahu’ Moon people, quite often ‘help’ is one of the highlights of their vocabulary at least to the ones who are yet to mature spiritually.
- And the sad part is, quite often they don’t even know what they want ‘help’ for.
- So therapy helps a lot because the onus is on someone else to patiently listen to their problems and help them understand their own emotions, their own patterns and issues.
- What ‘Rahu’ Moon people quite often really need is a lot more reassurance than others that things will be fine. That they have it under control.
2. Coaching.
- Now, the second thing that can help is coaching but I’m not going to go into that in much detail or you’ll think this answer is more self promotional than helpful. Haha
- But honestly, coaching helps as well.
- It helps to set measurable targets to give the mind the reassurance it needs when you’re flipping out.
- Coaching is different from therapy as coaching is more about taking a proactive approach towards setting goals and achieving them in a time bound manner and evaluating your progress based on those goals. It requires a proactive and ‘hands on’ approach from the coach and is future focused. Therapy on the other hand is focused on the past and requires the therapist to have more of a reassuring, listening approach with minimal suggestions wherever required.
3. Exercise
Exercise can help out a lot.
- Let’s focus on the chemical aspects of it.
- Exercises aids the release of serotonin, which is a feel good relaxing hormone. It also lowers cortisol, which is a stress hormone that is in abundance in people with a tendency to get anxious and restless.
- Also, exercise helps to direct the nervous energy and helps the mind to ‘ground’ itself in bodily movements as against being all ‘up in the head’ about a variety of things, factors and scenarios that can run through the mind.
- So if you like cycling, invest in a stationary bicycle so you can hit it even in your busy schedule. If you like swimming or boxing or badminton, make it a routine. Put everything aside and prioritize time for exercise the way you like it, once every day.
4. Self care
‘Comfort’ is also one of the primary needs of people with this conjunction. They need their comfort in the specific areas that they do. It varies from person to person but nevertheless, it is a prevalent requirement.
- ‘Rahu’ Moon people need certain things to be a certain way and can only function properly with those things the way they want.
- Yes, this obsessiveness is a byproduct of ‘Rahu’s’ influence and plays out in different ways. Mostly it plays out in the form of certain idiosyncrasies and tendencies to ‘control’ outcomes and situations, relationships.
- See it is very important to understand in depth the cause of this anxiety.
- Why do you feel anxiety?
- You feel anxiety when you feel the need to ‘control’ outcomes to situations.
- ‘Rahu’ Moon people have trouble ‘surrendering’ because of their perceived fear and uncertainty about life in general.
- This is why they tend to always want to ‘stay in control’ because they have an inherently negative outlook towards events and situations.
- Even if you told them to meditate, they probably won’t be able to. Even if said person is your partner or sibling and you invite them to meditate with you.
- So what works best to aid this mindset of ‘letting go’ is indulging in whatever self care rituals they gravitate towards.
- If you like cooking, do that. If you like knitting, do that. Just focus on keeping whatever self care rituals you have, on the healthy side. Indulging in alcohol is not self care. That’s a different category of activity.
- Also, I’d like to point out that ‘Rahu’ Moon people, as they mature, tend to stay away from all types of intoxication, minimizing them to just ‘taste’ not intoxication.
- The reason is in inability to ‘let go’.
- So to be honest, in moderation, all forms of self care is good. Don’t impose on yourself unrealistic expectations, especially the ones based on society’s ill informed concepts of idealism.
- That helps a lot.
- It doesn’t even have to be about wine or cigars man. If you like good oolong tea, not a bad idea to invest in a good tea set and spend some time by yourself each day, reading, watching TV, or just sitting in the balcony or terrace, wherever you like, and enjoying your fine brew.
- Take it easy. Every body has some thing that they turn to for self care. Consciously take time out for that every day. It could be anything from watching movies to gardening.
- If you like a visit to the spa or a massage, make it a weekly thing. If you like getting your nails done or a pedicure, manicure, shopping, eating out, playing tennis, no problem making a structured routine of it. Consciously take time out for self care. If you like listening to music and pampering yourself to a bubble bath or long hot shower, do that!
5. Wearing a Pearl can help a lot.
- I don’t normally suggest gemstones that easily but for anyone with a ‘Rahu’ Moon conjunction, a Pearl can be of great help. Try to go for a South Sea Pearl. If you can afford it, a golden one would be great. Now this is where I know it can get confusing because there are so many varieties of Pearls out there, so for a specific suggestion, you’d have to get an in depth read, otherwise just go for a Pearl you can get an authentication certificate for and that is free of blemishes and within your budget.
- If not a Pearl, you can try a Moonstone. That’s cheaper and for some actually it works more.
6. Mantras
- The ‘Tantric mantra’ ‘Hreem’ works like magic. All you have to do is say it once. If it gels with you, you will keep saying it on your own.
- I also wrote a ‘mantra’ myself that you can try out. It is a ‘mantra’ for ‘Devi Parvati’ who is the ‘Shakti’ of ‘Shiva’ who is the Moon.
- The ‘mantra’ is “Om Pam Paarvatye Namah”
- In this ‘mantra’ I have included the ‘Beej Mantra’ ‘Pam’ which corresponds to the ‘Shakti’ of ‘Kaalratri’ a fierce form of ‘Devi’ who is protective towards her devotees and fearsome towards their enemies and problems.
Hope this helps.
