A person with North node conjunct Mars is like a wild stallion who will only do well with another free spirited strong natured personality like themselves.

Even then, conflicts and quarrels are inevitable. Even with the best synastries and aspects, ‘guna’ matching etc.

Why?

Well to begin with, Mars is a very individualistic planet and people with a strong Mars or prominent Mars are usually very good at individualistic professions like Entrepreneurship, Sports, Medicine, Performing arts, Politics etc.

Mars is a tough planet to deal with when it is afflicted in your chart. Any planet conjunct the North node can be considered but ‘afflicted’ and strong.

Early part of your life, it will be ‘afflicted’ because although strong, you don’t really know how to channel it well so quite often it can get you intro trouble. Sometimes it behaves like a weak planet because the native completely ignores the planet as it is under the influence of the North node.

However, the entire force of the North node is behind developing this planet and its relevant traits to such a deep extent that even at its weakest, this planet forms your most dominant trait.

Now another thing is that if you have Mars retrograde and conjunct the North node then.. phew.. it is i-n-t-e-n-s-e.

Why?

Because retrogression sort of compounds the relevance of a planet in your chart.

Retrograde planets are brighter and hence ‘stronger’.

Retrograde planets have a bigger impact on the overall energy of the native.

Retrograde planets point out towards past life ‘karma’ in that area of your life.
