‘Rahu’ conjunct the Sun gives the person a lot of things. It is not as good a conjunction as let’s say ‘Rahu’ Venus, where both planets are from one group, that of the ‘asuras’ and the overall energy is generally more harmonious, but it works well to the extent of material pursuits.
One of the reasons is that ‘Rahu’ is the entity that causes eclipses and that eclipses the Sun. So there is this natural enmity between both these entities.
However, the nature of ‘Rahu’ is to blow things up and magnify them.
With Sun already quite a bright planet and the center of the solar system, the individual tends to receive a lot of status and fame, which may often turn out to be to his detriment as well.
For example?
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, became a billionaire at a time when most people his age are sitting for college placements.
Facebook spread fast and beyond a point it spread like wild fire!
It left behind any competing social network by a mile!
This went on and expanded further and further until Facebook acquired Instagram and Whatsapp.
Companies and brands flocked to Facebook for advertising and their advertising revenues grew by the second.
Until finally, the shadow side of this conjunction came into effect and all that fame, put Zuckerberg and Facebook into the focus of government authorities who suspected Facebook ads having been used by political parties to manipulate public opinion.
Widely televised and publicized public hearings lead to a lot of mixed opinions about Facebook’s motives and more importantly, its ‘values’.
So much so, that Facebook finally had to rebrand itself as ‘Meta’.
This may be justified as a move to be more in sync with its future plans for the brand.
However, the timing of this move and that it comes in the aftermath of all that election manipulation controversies, does seem like it has a lot to do with Facebook trying to rebrand itself.
This is not the first time that such a thing has happened.
Zuckerberg earlier had a bitter fallout with his founding partner Eduardo Saverin.
He was widely criticized for the origins of Facebook, which were in the form of controversial app called ‘Facemash’ which was used to rate the faces of fellow students on a scale of attractiveness of who’s ‘hotter’ and how much.
Zuckerberg avoids public eye so obsessively that he has built his mansion on an isolated hill and had bought the two mansions on either side as well to ensure that he can guard his privately as much as possible.
And would you believe it?
This too hasn’t gone unnoticed.
This has been something once more that he has been criticized for. Many privacy lobbyists have protested that for the CEO of company that handles so much data about millions of users, Zuckerberg is far too particular when it comes to his own privacy!
So, you can see that the upside of this conjunction is massive fame, power, authority and recognition.
The downside is that too much fame can be a bad thing.
‘Rahu’ conjunct the Sun, brings out quite a bit of the shadow side of this conjunction out and makes it ‘visible’.
Obviously, one would need to study the entire chart in depth to understand how the conjunction actually plays out for a particular individual.
