Oh look the summer’s here.
The sun is shining,
In the freshness of
A Sky blue hue.
Soft green grass
Laid out for you
Like a carpet
Of welcome
To rest
Your weary soul.
Bees humming
Sparrows chirping
The cuckoo singing
In delight.
The winter was dreary
With the trees
All stripped naked
But look now they bear
Tasty fruit ripe.
O come let’s bask
In this lazy afternoon sun.
Let’s lay down on the grass
Arms outstretched,
Carefree in leisure
Gazing into vastness;
Watching fluffly white bunnies
Hopping across the sky
Butterflies, as they flutter by
Jetplanes lazily streaking away
Up and away…
Through the clouds so high
It’s time to rest,
The dark winter has passed.
Good times bad times..
O such is the beauty of life!
Have fun while it lasts.
Revere the glory
Of this moment.
Let go, heal your past.

Ahahaha! That’s quite bright and cheerful, Jay! May be it’s just me but if you tried to cheer up your readers with this after your previous poem, you must know, the happy vibes got to me♥️☺️
There was a time when summer seemed to be that beautiful as the words in your poem. They were adorable by the way. Splayed across lush green grass, chasing rabbits in the sky, haha can’t get better than that♥️
You know I have always found a true friend in nature. Leaving aside the extreme weather conditions, it never leaves you feeling unwanted unlike the human world.

Damn!! You got that completely right. I was afraid people have begun to get gloomy rather than motivated by all life’s seriousness. 😉 Yes, summer is such a cheerful time. I am glad you could feel the vibes I was trying to reminesce. The freshness and the colours.. The longer days and clear moonlit nights.. Nature never ceases to dissapoint. Up until a few years ago, I used to regularly walk up to a small patch on the park that has trees I’ve seen grow since I was a kid. I would walk up to them, say hello, hug them for a bit and try to cpmkunicate… Lol then i grew up and I guess it began to feel ‘weird’ but I think you can make connections just about as deep with nature as with people.. Writing this poem reminded me of that I guess.. 🙂 thanks so much for reading and making my writing richer with your beautiful comments…

Hahaha! That’s adorable story. See that’s why nature’s the best, it accepts you or your antics, just the way they are without judging! Sure you start feeling weird with age but innocent sentiments remain that ensures a deeper connection over time.
Your writing is already rich, Jay. They don’t need my comment to be more so but thank you for kind words☺️
Clear moonlit sky, wow you do observe a lot and replicate the magic through your words!

Ooo Paris… The city of love.. But Madame, Who cares even if the sun never comes out and it’s winter all year. I would trade all my time in the sun for that! 😉

Very nicely done. Makes me long for a nice spring day, when it all comes back to life and you’re just overwhelmed with appreciation and senses on high alert. Love it.
