What will you leave behind,
If you die today?
Unfinished projects?
Manuscripts?
Dreams?
Letters you never posted?
Phonecalls you never made?
Estranged lover you never made your peace with?
Ideas you never acted on?
Vacations you never took?
Friends you never met?
Whatever it is,
Just remember that
Not even all the money in the world,
Can buy back the happiness;
That you chose to fritter away..
Today.
Always hoping that,
Tomorrow I’ll enjoy life more.
Later I’ll spend more time with kids.
Next week I’ll draw up a plan.
Next year I’ll see if it happens for me.
Right now my friend,
Is the only time you control.
The hours always fall short.
No matter how great the person.
No matter how big the dream.
